Cavender Wilson Edwards Jr., 72, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Cedar Hill Care Center. He was born June 3, 1943 to the late Cavender and Mary (Fayson) Edwards Sr.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, John Edwards.
Cavender is survived by his wife, Janice Edwards; three daughters, Tami Turner, Angie (Charles) Knotts, and Nika Davis; two sons, Johnnie (Kimberly) and Michael Edwards; 16 grandchildren; 10 1/2 great-grandchildren, the 11th to be expected in June; a sister, Marlene (Raymond) Harris; two brothers, Milton (Cheryle) Edwards and Wilbur Edwards; a very special friend, Crystal Cromwell and a host of friends and other family. Cavender was very passionate about motorcycles. He was a former member of The Flames Motorcycle Club as well as of the Old Timers. Cavender's memory will forever be cherished, and he will be greatly missed.
Viewing will be Friday, May 6, 2016 beginning at 12 p.m. with service to follow at 1 p.m. at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 561 Pine St,.  Cremation has been chosen.   Condolences may be expressed at  the left.
