Newark: Donna Lee "Nanny" Evans, age 74, of Newark, recieved her eternal reward on Friday, June 9, 2017 following a short illness, at the Wexner Medical Center, in Columbus, Ohio. Nanny was born on February 1, 1943 to the late Thomas and Grace (Church) Pierce, of Adamsville, Ohio. In addition to her parents, Nanny is preceded in death by four brothers; three sisters; and one grandchild.
Nanny leaves behind to mourn her passing, her loving husband, Paul F. Evans Sr.; her sons, Paul F. (Heather) Evans Jr., of Macon, GA, Jeffery "Scott" (Melissa) Evans, of Frazeysburg, OH, and Andy Thomas (Jamie) Evans, of Newark, OH; daughters, Georgia R. (Chris) Jacks, of Frazeysburg, OH, Marlynn R. (Jack) Saddler, of Adamsville, OH, Jasue D. (Matt) Lacy, of Frazeysburg, OH; brothers, John Pierce, of Zanesville, OH, and Thomas "Tink" Pierce, of Chandlersville, OH; a sister, Norma Bagley, of Zanesville, OH; a special nephew, Fred Pierce, of Crooksville, OH; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Nanny was a member of the Bethel Apostolic Church in Granville, Ohio. She was faithful to God and her church and could be most accuratley described by Proverbs 31. Nanny was a selfless woman, always putting the needs of others before her own. Nanny was dedicated to her friends and family and spent much of her free time baking, cleaning and sewing for her home as well as the homes of others. Nanny spent her life preparing for this time, she has now gone on to recieve her reward.
You may call on the family, Monday, June 12 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. with the service to follow at 1 p.m. at the Bethel Apostolic Church, 2689 James Road, Granville, Ohio. Pastor Jeff Holman officiating. Burial will follow in Frazeysburg Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at guest book link.
