Dorothy Louise Settles, 88, of Newark, Ohio died June 9, 2016 at her home. She was born July 28, 1927 in Washington County, Ohio to John and Nora Grable. 
Dorothy enjoyed crocheting blankets, attending church, listening to country music and spending time with family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by daughter, Wanda Settles Stone; son, Robert Settles, Sr. ; granddaughter, Juanita Fanning;  sister, Jean Robinson; brothers,  William Grable and John Grable Jr. 
Dorothy is survived by sisters, Donna Besser and Carolanne Grable; brother, Dayle Grable; son,  Arthur Settles, Jr.; daughter, Nancy (Michael Sr.) Heeter; daughter, Debra (Donald) Harper; nine grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. 
Viewing will be Thursday, June 16, 2016 beginning at 11 a.m. with funeral to follow at 1 p.m. at 414 LaSalle Street. Cremation has been chosen.  Condolences may be expressed at left.
