Larry G. "Butch" Dennis, Sr., age 58, of Zanesville, passed away on September 8, 2017 at the OSU Wexner Medical Center, with his loved ones by his side,following a sudden illness. Larry was born April 5, 1959 in Zanesville to the late Ralph "Hawkshaw" and Eithel "Rosie" (Allen) Dennis, Jr. In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his brothers, Terry "Windy", and Kevin; and two grandchildren, Jacy Jo and Talen Gene.
Larry leaves behind to cherish his memory, Larry Jr., of the home; his life-long partner and companion, Stacy Dennis; his daughters, Amy (Chet) Hiles, of Blue Rock, Lori (Austin) Miller, of Zanesville, and Audra (Kevin Johnson) Dennis; eight grandchildren, with his ninth grandchild coming in December; his sisters, Kathy, Mary, Edna, Beverly and Theresa; his brothers Gerald, Jeff and Rick; and a host of other family and friends.
Larry loved his family and enjoyed the times he got to spend with them. In his younger years, Larry loved to go hunting with his dad and uncles. When he had his own children, Larry enjoyed taking them fishing as well. He was a hands on guy who loved being out doors working, detailing cars, either his own or another's. When Larry did not have a car to detail, he was known to keep busy with other things. Larry spent 40 years as a dedicated employee of Rex's Go Kleen/ Squiggly's Car Wash.
You may call on the family Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with the service to follow at 1 p.m. at Burrell Funeral Services, 414 LaSalle St. Minister Paula Caton officiating.
