Marvin Roy Yost, 87, of Mount Perry, Ohio, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018. Marvin was born August 19, 1930 to Estie Mae and George Yost. In addition to his parents, Marvin is also preceded in death by sisters, Pauline Snider, and Urie Roberts; brothers, Kenneth and Clement; and a son-in-law, Roger Thomas.
Marvin leaves behind his wife, Jessie Kathryn Flynn, whom he married on March 11, 1951; children, Darla Thomas of Hebron, Karen Yost of New Lexington, Michael (Cindy) Yost, Rodney (Janetta) Yost, Gary (Janice) Yost, Mark (Amy) Yost of Mount Perry, Jeffrey (Regina) Yost of Pataskala, and Terry (Pam) Yost of Chandlersville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; child Raven Hanning of Zanesville.
 Marvin was a graduate of Somerset High School and was a member of Hopewell Free Methodist Church. Marvin worked for Essex Wire for 16 years. He later retired from Rockwell after 26 1/2 years of service. Marvin farmed for many years, and poured concrete for over 30 years. He loved sports, his favorite being basketball. He will be missed. You may call on the family Monday, January 22, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., with funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at Hopewell Free Methodist Church, 9515 West Pike, Hopewell, OH. Burial will follow in Mount Perry Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Morrison House or Hopewell Free Methodist Church.
