Mary 'Yogi' Gertrude Evans, 84, passed away January 1, 2017 at Willow Haven Care Center with her loving family at her side.
She was born in Zanesville, Ohio on July 25, 1932 to the late Fred Sr. and Thelma (Darnell) Frame. Mary was a homemaker and had previously worked at Essex Wire and Mosaic Tile. Mary was an avid bowler and at one time was one of the top women bowlers in Zanesville. She enjoyed games of all kinds including yard and card games. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.
On June 25, 1960 she married Louis Evans, Sr. who survives; also surviving are daughters, Ginny Smith and fiancée Jim Thomas of West Lafayette, Ohio; Toby/Wanda (Frank) Gilleland; Tony (Donna) Evans, Rick (Tina) Evans of Zanesville; granchildren, Matthew (Alicia) Tumblin, Christopher (Lacey) Tumblin, Austin Rutter, Amanda (Tony) Gheen, stepgrandchildren, Jenna, Ryan, Dusty (Kinzy), Donnie (Jenn), Levi (Emily), Marissa, Laken, Rani; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Abby, Addison, Jacob, Lily and Lucas, Claire and Sophia; step great-grandchildren, Justice, Blake, Dyllon, Jaylee, Wilson, Eli, Kam, Ricky; step great-great-grandchild, Mason; brother, Donald (Lois) Frame, sisters, Wanda (Sam) Staffey, Coleen Sowers, Shirley (Donnie) Fisher.
Mary is preceded in death by an infant son, Wilford 'Skip' Smith Jr.; two brothers, Fred Frame, Jr. and William Frame; three sisters, Bonnie Wallace, Dorothy Young and Patricia Frame.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 12 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, 414 LaSalle St.   Officiated by Jim Hoskinson.   Cremation has been chosen per Mary's wishes.  Condolences may be expressed at guestbook link.
