Norman Stanley 'Bud' Allen, 84, passed January 29, 2017 at home.  He was born October 18, 1932 in Duncan Falls to the late Lewis Alfred and Martha Jane (Wilkins) Allen.
Bud was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Korean War and was Post Commander of the American Legion as well as a member of the V.F.W. and the Eagles.   He was a graduate of Lash High School.  After marrying Donna Mae Farquhar on Feb. 8, 1956 he enjoyed 55 years of wedded happiness.  He was a diesel mechanic for many years and then retired from Longaberger Basket Co. after 15 years.  His favorite pastimes included stock car racing, riding his motorcycle and camping with friends and family. 
He is survived by son, Randy (Christina) Allen; daughter, Emilie Bonner; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Mae Allen, who passed on September 7, 2011; son, Terry I. Allen and seven sisters.
Viewing will be Friday, February 3, 2017 at 10 a.m. with funeral service to follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home, 414 LaSalle St.  Pastor Nancy Amos will be officiating.  Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors by the U.S. Navy.  Condolences may be expressed at guestbook link.
