Peggy Jo Johnson, 59, of Zanesville was granted her angel wings on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Genesis Hospital. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Peggy had touched in some way throughout her life. Peggy was born on October 6, 1957 to Mary Ellen Johnson and the late William Johnson.
In addition to her father, Peggy is preceded in death by her son, Brent Johnson; a brother, Michael Johnson; and her loving dog and best friend, Bailey.
Peggy leaves behind to mourn her passing, her children, Bradley (Lisa) and Keri (James); her mother, Mary; siblings, Jeanie (Dan) Johnson, Glenn (Diane) Johnson, Steve (Candy) Johnson, Jay (Linda) Johnson, Cheryl Good, Daryl Johnson, and Nancy Sheridan; grandchildren, Brandon (Cindy) Roberts, Deventa, Brooklyn, Jaidyn, Johnna and Jordan Johnson; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Karter Johnson; a special friend, Mark Leach; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Peggy was known to be crafty, and enjoyed activities such as quilting, gardening, and sewing. Words can’t express how dearly she will be missed.
A memorial service will be held in Peggy’s honor on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at Burrell Funeral Services, 414 LaSalle Street. Condolences may be expressed at the guest book link.
