Sandra "Sandy" Kay Gallis, age 54 of Zanesville, departed from this life on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Genesis Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Sandy was born in Zanesville on April 16, 1962 to Elmer and Wanda (Hina) Gallis. 
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Alan (Melissa) McDonald, Stephanie (R.J. Miller) McDonald, and Jeff (Danielle) McDonald; grandchildren, Kaige, Layton, Bryson, Brantlee, Gavin, Eli and Aleena; sisters, Linda (Doug) Lorey, and Tina (Chuck) Bell; nieces and nephews John and Katie Lee, Stacia and Trevor Hague, Ashlee Amspaugh, and Amber and Bill Wilson; as well as a host of other family and friends. 
Sandra enjoyed outdoor activities which include playing softball and mowing the grass. She worked for many years as a bus driver for the Maysville School District and thoroughly enjoyed her work. In her free time, Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Sandra was a member of the Woodlawn Church of Christ but had been attending the Anchor Church. She is sure to be missed by many.
You may call on the family Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Burrell Funeral Services, and again on Monday, January 9, 2017 from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. at the Anchor Church, 1365 Chamberlain Street in Zanesville. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Anchor Church. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, 1475 Military Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions for funeral expenses may be made to North Valley Bank, P.O. box 1115 in Zanesville.
