Silvanus Ester Johnson, age 60, of Zanesville, passed from this life on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark, Ohio. He was born on August 28, 1955 in Phillipi, West Virginia, to the late William and Canzetta (Mayle) Johnson. In addition to his parents, Silvanus is preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents; special cousins, Roger Johnson and John Johnson; his beloved pet, Mikey; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He leaves behind to mourn his passing, his significant other of many years, Vicky Gebhart; children, Silvanus Johnson, Angela (Travis) Fankhauser, Lisa (Mike) Cummings, Samantha Dalton, Zachery Dalton, Chasity Belton, and Jeremy Johnson; brothers, Danny Johnson, David Johnson, and Ronald Johnson; sisters, Vicky (Roger) Kennedy and Sharon Johnson; several grandchildren as well as great-grandchildren; a special aunt, Rosey (William) Berdine; a special friend, Virgina Johnson; adopted pets Boots and Sugar; and a host of other family members and friends.

Silvanus attended school in Phillipi, West Virginia. He was all about family and well loved by everyone who knew him. Silvanus had a kind heart and enjoyed helping others. In his free time, he loved working in the yard. He will be deeply missed by all those who had the privelage to know him.
