Joshua Ray McManes

Joshua Ray McManes, affectionately known as "John Wayne" and "Joshy Poo", 30, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024. Josh was born July 13, 1993 in Zanesville, son of the late Teresa Dillon and Brent McManes. In addition to his parents, Joshua is also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ron and Jamie McManes; maternal grandfather, Raymond Dillon; step-father, William Ferrell III; and paternal aunt, Rhonda "Miss" Locke.

Joshua leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Allison; his son, Braxton; grandmother, Dorothy Dillon; brothers, Andrew (Leslie) and Justin (Tabby) McManes; sisters, Heather (Jeff) McManes and Judy Newland; several aunts, uncles and a host of cousins; four nephews and four nieces; special friend, Sheila Suttles; and a host of other loved ones and friends.

Josh's favorite time was any time spent with his beloved son, making many memories together. He was a workaholic, dedicated and driven. In his free time, he liked to play video games and enjoy some marijuana. Joshua loved spending time with his wife, Allison and creating memories with her. He also loved time spent with his mother, his siblings and cousins. Josh will be deeply missed by many.

You may call on the family Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services in Zanesville. Services will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024 beginning at 11 a.m., at North Terrace Church of Christ, 1420 Brandywine Blvd., in Zanesville. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery where Joshua will be laid to rest alongside his loving mother, Teresa. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
