Bessie "Bear" "Angel" Lyddia Dooley

Bessie "Bear" "Angel"  Lyddia Dooley, 70, of Hopewell, Ohio, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019. Bessie was born January 28, 1949 to the late Herbert P. and Mary M. (Brennan) McBride. In addition to her parents, Bessie is also preceded in death by her husband, John T. Dooley, Sr.; granddaughter, Brooklyn Dawn Caplinger-Dooley; and beloved Uncle Pat. 
Bessie leaves to cherish her memory, her children, John (Lynn) Dooley, Jr., David A. (SueElla Debolt) Dooley, Beverley (Jeff Fisher) Dooley, of Hopewell, Brian K. (Wendy Nason) Dooley, Sr., and Heather (Bill) Ward; a  grandchild she raised as her own, Brian K. (Tracy Rhodes) Dooley, Jr.;  grandchildren, Brittany Lyddia Dooley, Tiffany Nicole Dooley, Whitney Dawn Dooley, Nikki Ann Dooley, William Wisecarver, Billy Wisecarver, Shawntay Wisecarver, William E. Ward, Jr., Kody A. Ward, Emily Ward, Alexis Dooley and Brianna Dooley; great-grandchildren, Keiston Wisecarver, Daniel Wisecarver, Dawson Thomas, John Dooley, Mia Wohrle, Levi Caplinger, Jr., Avia Williams, Aleah Caplinger, Skyler Dooley and Kevin Caplinger, Jr.; siblings, Mary (Richard) Roberts, of Zanesville, and Herbert McBride, of Zanesville; best friend of 52 years, Judy Clymer; and a host of other family and friends.
Bessie was an avid CB Radio contributer. She was known by handles Bear and Angel. She enjoyed spending her time on her CB Radio, where she had many friends. Bessie also enjoyed playing BINGO in her free time. Other activities Bessie enjoyed include trips to the beach, as well as trips to Wheeling Island's hotel, casino and racetrack. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Bessie will be missed.
You may call on the family Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Minister Joe Dunlap officiating. Cremation will follow. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
