Dorothy Louise Holbert, age 90, of Millersport, Ohio died on January 18, 2017 at her home. She was born June 20, 1926 in Rome, NY to the late Adelbert and Violet (Hall) Goodwin. In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by husband, Cleo Holbert, her sisters, Gladys, Thelma and Betty; a son, William Edward; a grandson, Adam Christopher Holbert; and a granddaughter, Olivia Lauren Steele.
Dorothy leaves behind to mourn her passing children, Carol (Gary) Steele Sr.; Richard (Mildred) Holbert; a daughter-in-law, Linda Holbert; Joan (Larry) Barrett; Victoria (Michael) Means; Kelly (James) Gilmer; a brother-in-law Philip Holbert; grandchildren, Stephanie, Gary Jr., Jason, Richard Jr., William Jr., Joshua, Amy, Claressa, Lawrence, Ciera, Taylor and Michael; 17 great-grandchildren; great great-grandchildren, Malachi John; special nieces, Patsy and Susie; a special nephew, Harry Jr.; and a host of other family and friends. Dorothy also leaves behind a loving companion, her dog Chuck, who never left her side. She is sure to be missed by many.
Calling hours will be Friday, January 20, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at funeral home, 414 LaSalle St., Zanesville.  An additional hour of viewing will be Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017 at 10 a.m.   Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at Hands of Faith Church, 830 Pine St., Zanesville, OH.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.  Condolences may be expressed at guest book link.
