Franklin Luther Lavender, 84, of Zanesville, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018. Frank was born February 18, 1934 to the late Reverend Jesse and Pearl (Kessler) Lavender. In addition to his parents, Frank is also preceded in death by his brother, Reverend Aaron Lavender.
Frank leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Charoltte Ann Lavender; his children, Theresa (Alvin) Igwebuike, Franklin Lavender, and Teselo Lavender, as well as Mona, of TN and Sputnik, of Cleveland; step-children, Wetona Penny, and Walter Allen Calhoun; several grandchildren, including a special grandchild who he held dear to his heart, Keisha Ann Harris, of TN; and a host of other friends and family.
Frank was a United States Army Veteran, where he served as a medic. He went on to become a talented mechanic, working for Sears for many years. In his free time, Frank enjoyed yard work and always had an immaculate yard. He is sure to be missed.
You may call on the family Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., funeral services will be held Monday, July 9, 2018 at 1 p.m., all of which is to be held at Burrell Funeral Services, 414 LaSalle St. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
