Jacob Walter Brewster, Sr.

Jacob W. Brewster, Sr. passed away peacefully August 3, 2018 at the age of 91. Jacob was born to the late Jake and Alice Brewster. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Brewster; son, Jacob "Bruce" Brewster, Jr.; sisters, Mary Taylor and Christine Leslie; as well as special friend and brother-in-law, Paul Taylor. 
Jacob leaves behind to cherish his memory, his granddaughter, Stephanie Sims; great-grandson, Ja-den Sims; special friends, Roland Jackson, and Kendal Jones; caregiver during his final days, and niece, Paula (Kenneth) Mayes; as well as many other special family members and friends.
Jacob was a retired member of The United States Army, as well as J. C. Penny Company. He loved to go fishing, take long walks, and was an avid bird watcher. Jacob was a member of the Second Baptist Church, 186 N 17th St., Columbus, OH,  where his homegoing service will be held, on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 11 a.m., with visitation held an hour prior to service. Pastor Howard Washington officiating. Burial will take place Friday, August 10, 2018 in Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W Third St., Dayton, OH. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
