Mary Katherine (Hunt) Hill

Mary Katherine Hill, 71, of Newark, passed away the evening of Sunday, January 27, 2019, at her home. Mary was born May 21, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Kenneth C. and Monie B. (Mooney) Hunt. In addition to her parents, Mary is also preceded in death by her grandson, Derrick Robert Brandt, who passed away August 28, 2009; and her husband, Beverly's father, James Robert Hill.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughter, Beverly Katherine (Derrick) Untied; her granddaughter, Shayla Nicole Brandt; great granddaughter, or in Mary's words, her "baby doll" or her "princess", Derricka Nicole Brandt; sisters, Mona (Bob) Stonerook, Barbara (Donald) Diewald, and Belinda Ziegler; brother, Kenneth (Jay) Hunt; and other family and friends.
Mary was a long time resident of Mall View Apartments in Heath, Ohio. She retired from Diebold after years of dedicated service. Mary loved to travel and see new places, which she did a lot of in her younger years. She never met a stranger, she enjoyed meeting new people, and would go out of her way to help anyone.
 Mary lived her life for her family, whom she adored very much. Mary held an exceptionally large place in her heart for Shayla and Derricka. She had a great sense of humor, and was known to bring even strangers to belly laughs. Everyone who met Mary loved her and saw her kindness and genuine caring heart.  Mary always had a smile no matter what the situation in her life, and her smile will be greatly missed. Per Mary's wishes, a private family viewing will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 and cremation will follow. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
