Richard E.Collier, 69, of Reynoldsburg, OH, died Friday, September 1, 2017. Richard was born in Mansfield,OH, on July 7,1948 to the late Evelyn and Richard Collier. In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by a sister, Sheila Them; and mother-in-law, Catherine Shute.
Richard left this earth after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Catherine Collier; 2 step sons Brian Thomas And Michael Shaffer; his beautiful grand daughter, Ava Thomas; niece Rina Heuss; nephews, Mark and Scott Heuss; and many more nieces nephews, and friends.
Richard graduated from Mansfield High School and then joined the Air Force where he obtained the rank of Sargent. While serving in Vietnam and Turkey as an Intelligence Operations Specialist, he was awarded a Commendation Medal for meritorious service.
He graduated from Kentucky University. Richard was a salesman and owned several businesses most recently Gator Gas Grills, an online company.
He  went on to pursue his love of entertaining. Including acting in plays, doing stand up comedy for several years then improv. comedy and karaoke.
