Sherrill Elaine (McDaniel) Burke

Sherrill Elaine Burke, 68, of Newark, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019. Sherrill was born June 21, 1950 to the late Raymond N. and Bonnie J. (Vaughn) McDaniel. In addition to her parents, Sherrill is also preceded in death by her husband, William A. "Big Red" Burke.
Sherrill leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Cynthia Holland, Jean (Donnie) Bourassa, and Shanna Burke; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, James Burke; sister, Jeanine Thompson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Sherrill was a loving mother and grandmother. In her free time, she enjoyed playing BINGO. Before her husband passed, the two would often take motorcycle rides together, which Sherrill loved. She also loved cats. She is sure to be missed. You may call on the family Friday, May 24, 2019 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 2 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services in Zanesville. Cremation will follow.
