Wetona "Toni" Tonya Penny

Wetona "Toni" Tonya Penny, 60, of Cleveland, Ohio passed away at Continuing Healthcare at Adam's Lane Wednesday, November 20, 2019. Wetona was born January 20, 1959 to Charlotte Ann (Barnett) Lavender and the late Lloyd Clifford Jurado. In addition to her father, Wetona is also preceded in death by her aunts and uncles, including beloved Uncle Jessie McDade; step-father, Franklin L. Lavender; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jurado of Cleveland; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bobbie and Beulah Lee of Zanesville.
Toni leaves behind her mother, Charlotte A. Lavender; siblings, Walter Allen Calhoun, Jamie Wooten, Franklin E. Lavender, Tesolo Lavender, and Theresa (Alvin) Igwebuike (Lavender); aunts and uncles, including beloved Aunt Marva Burrell; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews in Cleveland, Columbus and Atlanta; several special cousins who were her guardian angel's, Charity Slaughter, Veronica Barnett, Becky Palmer, Barbara "Bucky" Alexander, Mayme Curtis, Michelle Barnett and Crissy Lynn Curtis; best friend, Gloria Jean Coleman of Cleveland; and a host of other friends and family.

Wetona was blessed to have a phenomenal Hospice Social Worker, Ms. Nicole Davis of Cleveland, who aided in the treatment and transitional care for Toni to return home. Thank you to Buckeye Hospice of Zanesville for providing comfort care and continued services.
Toni spent many years in sales, where she was a dealer of fine china in which she took great pride. Giving her love for children, Toni was also a foster parent. Toni was an avid reader, with her favorite book being the Bible, as she enjoyed the scriptures. Toni had a passion for fashion, and was a natural in roller-skating. She was loved by all and will be missed by many.
You may call on the family Monday, November 25, 2019 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 12 p.m., all of which to be held at Burrell Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
