Arthur "Doc" Lewis Micken, 73, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at his home. Arthur was born June 4, 1948 to the late James L. and Mae F. (Carter) Micken, I.
Doc leaves to cherish his memory, his loving children, Purdencia, Akayijah, Elijah, NaTasha, Arthur, Airyona, Tyhesia and James; a multitude of over 20 beloved grandchildren; the mother who raised him, Ethel Walls; brothers, Donnie, Melvin, Robert, Ronnie and Shaun; dedicated sister, Kay Bosley; several nieces and nephews, including special niece, Kenyatia; his daughters mother and dear friend, Tammy; many, many friends including special friends, Tony, Miguel and David; and a host of other relatives and loved ones.
Arthur was a master mechanic, he could fix anything. He was well known for his tailored bikes that he would stretch and rebuild, even completing them with his own custom paint jobs. Doc was the founding member of the Z-Town X M.C.C. in Zanesville, as well as a member of the Heavy Metal M.C.C., the Flames M.C.C. and Rare Bloods M.C.C. Arthur was also a United States Veteran, having served two Vietnam Tours in the U.S. Army. He was a jack of all trades, talented in many things. Arthur was musical, he could play any instrument he touched. He was a wonderful basketball player, and a skilled upholsterer. Doc was an artist, who mastered many forms of art, especially his hand-crafted macrame weavings. He was a friend to many, and will be missed by all who knew him.
You may call on the family Friday, November 5, 2021 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m., with service to follow at 3 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services, in Zanesville. Doc's brother Donnie will conduct the service. Per Arthur's wishes, cremation will follow. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
