Barbara Ann Goodrich

Barbara Ann Goodrich, 59, of Zanesville, Ohio passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Genesis Hospital. Barb was born June 8, 1962, in Zanesville, to the late Alvin "Sonny" and Nancy (Weyrick) Abbott. In addition to her parents, Barbara is also preceded in death by her beloved children, Marissa C. Goodrich and Byron G. Goodrich; a bonus son, Ronald A. Goodrich; brother, William Abbott, of Florida; brother-in-law, Howard Lightfoot; and a grandson, Tanner Walker.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and dedicated husband, Ronald A. Goodrich; daughter, Miranda Goodrich; bonus children, Kim (Dwight) Bowen, Holly Bankes, Scott Goodrich, Mark (Sarah) Goodrich and Jon (Sarah) Goodrich; 24 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings, David (Penny) Abbott, Anna (George) McNerney and Jane Lightfoot, all of Zanesville;  special friends, David and Lisa Bailey; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Barb was a hard working woman who spent many years as a bartender. She became well known and was well respected by the customers she had the pleasure of serving. Barbara was an out spoken woman, if you didn't want the truth given to you, Barb was not the one to ask. She loved to mark every memory with a picture. Barbara was loving, if you were her friend or family, you knew she was devoted to you. She was also an avid reader. Barbara was known to have a great sense of humor, and she always looked forward to sharing a new joke with her grandchildren. As her last act of kindness, Barbara gave the gift of organ donation. Barb was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Per the family's wishes, cremation has been chosen. A memorial service in Barb's honor will be held Sunday, September 5, 2021 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., at Road Dogs Tavern, 1602 Ridge Ave., in Zanesville. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
