Berneda A Norris
Berneda (Bonita) Norris 88, transitioned from this life on Sunday May 17", 2026. She was born July 16, 1937, to the late Blake P. and Freda L. Norris. Bonita worked for the Zanesville Muskingum County Health Department for 25 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, quilting, and gardening. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister, and a friend whose kindness touched many lives.
She especially cherished Christmastime, her favorite holiday of the year. Long before the season arrived, she would begin gathering gifts in January, carefully choosing each one with love and thoughtfulness. More than anything, she found joy in watching the smiles spread across the faces of her family as they opened their presents. For her it was about togetherness, laughter and memories made while sitting around surrounded by the family she loved.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory including her children, Sheila (Ron) Branson; two sons Jeff (Gina) Hardin and Mike Norris. Berneda is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, sisters: Racy Minerd, Dianna Mayle, brothers: Jerry (Wanda) Norris, Frank (Annie) Norris, Ivan (Maryanne) Norris and Shannon (Barb) Norris and a host of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Clayton E Norris, daughter Flora Loretta Bridges, and a brother William Buddy Norris.
