Betty Eileen (Gladman) Tilley

Betty Eileen (Gladman) Tilley, 88, of Zanesville, Ohio died Monday, October 11, 2021. Betty was born January 21, 1933 on Harris Road, in Zanesville, to her parents, the late Chester R. "Dick" and Grace (Hunter) Gladman. Betty was a member of the Apostolic faith. She had great faith in The Lord and counted her blessings every day. Betty had many friends, she was a friend to all the people she met.
She is survived by her four children, Connie Sue (John) (Tilley) Laris, twin sons, Russell A. (Shirley)Tilley and Richard A. (Pamela) Tilley, and Billey G. Tilley, Jr.; three grandchildren, Jessica Ann (Nick) Paynter, Tony Jason "T.J." Tilley and Stephanie Rea Tilley; two step-grandsons, Jack (Tiffoni) Morgan and Bryant (Jessica) Laris; great-grandchildren, Emma, Lillian, Hunter "Zane", Alyssa and Noah; step-great-grandchildren, Jake Morgan and Gus Laris; brother, Charles R. "Bob" Gladman; sisters-in-law, Gelia and Glenna Gladman, Sue (Bill) Lackey and Sammie (Will) Hardin; many nieces, nephews and cousins, including special nieces, Shirley Smith, Darla McCarty and Trish Baumont; and a host of many friends, including life-long friends Ethel (Ray) Chase and Shirley Wickham.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Charles "Dick" and Grace Gladman; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary (Reuben) Hardy and Helen (Robert) Leon Tilley; three brothers, Raymond L. (Shirley) Gladman, Chester R. (Becky) Gladman, Jr. and Donald W. "Jack" Gladman; her beloved husband, Billey G. Tilley, Sr., the love of her life, whom she lost May 6, 2001; mother and father-in-law, Jim and Thelma "Janie" Tilley; son-in-law, Jon Turner; and a nephew, Donald L. Hardy.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services, in Zanesville. Following visitation, burial procession will leave for St. Paul Cemetery in Sonora, Ohio, where Betty will be laid to rest. Per Betty's request, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to a church of your choice, in Betty's memory. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
