Blanche Luella Hill

Blanche L. Hill, 86, of Zanesville, Ohio, gained eternal rest on Thursday, September 22, 2022. Blanche was born January 17, 1936 in Cutler, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry E. and Haley Marie (Harris) Lucas. In addition to her parents, Blanche is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, James E. Hill, whom she married February 4, 1956; and siblings, Charles "Bob", Geneva "Jenny" McCuen, Harry E. "Joe", James "Archie", Maxine Dansby and Martha Lucas.
Blanche leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved children, Karen Edwards, Joyce Hill, Linda (Howard) Brent, Donna Young and Sheila (James) Davenport; grandchildren, James Murphy, Tim Lewis, Maria Brent, Jessica Sawyers, Jenna Willis, Kasey Devoll and Tiana Young; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Bessie Francis, Viola "Sue" Flowers, Alan "Bill" (Malinda), Constance "Anne" Mayle, Mary "Ann" (William) Thompson, Verna "Belle" Tetsel, and Sharon "Minnie" (Lance) Alexander; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loved ones and friends.
Blanche loved to bake her special pies for her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time working outside in her flowers. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed.
You may call on the family Friday, September 30, 2022 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., with funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., at Burrell Funeral Services, in Zanesville. Minister Orlen Bates officiating. Burial will follow, at 1 p.m., on Friday, in Southland Cemetery in Cutler, Ohio, where Blanche will be laid to rest amongst her loved ones.
