Bonnie Catherine (Corns) Dunnington

Bonnie Catherine Dunnington, 70, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 following an unexpected battle with cancer. Bonnie was born January 10, 1950 to the late James R. "Dick" and Dola L. (Lowers) Corns. In addition to her parents, Bonnie is also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 36 years, John R. Dunnington.
Bonnie leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Jodi Ashford, Joe (Keri) Dunnington, and Randi (Shilo) Pletcher; her grandchildren, Jordan, Makenzie, Devin, Sasha, Ashton and Rachelle; two great-grandchildren, Bentley and James; siblings, James "Jim" II and Henry "Hank" Corns; special cousins, Eddie (Carla) Foster; and a host of nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other family members and many friends.
Bonnie worked for several years as a waitress at Nichol's Restaurant. In her free time, Bonnie loved to travel. She was an avid sports fan, with her favorite teams being the Cincinnati Reds and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Bonnie also enjoyed bowling, and had spent some time as a youth sports coach. She loved to visit casinos and play cards with friends. More than anything, Bonnie cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren. She was a truly wonderful person, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed. Family will receive friends for a memorial gathering from 2 p.m. until 4  p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2020. A repass celebration will follow at Randi's home.  BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
