Carrie Ellen Andrews

Carrie "Ellen" Andrews, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and cherished member of the Dresden community, passed away on November 14, 2023, at the age of 86. Born on April 2nd, 1937, in Dresden, Ohio, Ellen was a beacon of love and kindness to all who knew her.

Ellen’s life was richly woven with devotion to her family. She was the proud mother of four children: Jeffery A Haines of Coshocton, John C (Debbie) Haines of Wills Creek, Julie K Niswonger of Ocala, FL, and Carrie K Barnes of Massillon, Ohio. Her legacy extends through 12 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren, each a testament to her boundless love and nurturing spirit.

A native of Dresden, Ellen made her home in Coshocton, where she lovingly raised her children before moving back to her beloved Dresden. She was preceded in death by her parents, James "Glenn" Longaberger and Kathryn F. "Craig" Longaberger, her brother John D Longaberger, and her grandson, Michael Haines. Ellen’s resilience and love shone brightly through life's joys and sorrows.

A 1955 graduate from Jefferson High School in Dresden, Ellen embraced life with an adventurous spirit. She found immense joy in family gatherings; treasured moments spent hunting for special treasures at yard sales, and creating beautiful, crocheted rag rugs that adorned the homes of family and friends.

Ellen’s warm heart and unwavering love enriched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her kindness, compassion, humor, and strength will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the honor of knowing her.

In honoring Carrie "Ellen" Andrews, we celebrate a life of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
