Charlene Watts Obituary

Charlene Kay Watts, 79, of Zanesville, Ohio, went to be with The Lord on Sunday, March 21, 2021. Charlene was born December 15, 1941 to the late Everett J. and Florence L. (Harris) Watts. In addition to her parents, Kay is also preceded in death by her siblings, Bill (Birdie) Watts, Patricia Watts, Gerry Watts, Duane Watts, Larry Watts, Lyle (Connie) Watts, Jim Watts and Sheila (Lloyd) Suttles; and a brother-in-law, Nick Sciocchetti.
Kay leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved children, Kerry (Peggy) Watts and Dick (Jill) Watts; grandchildren, Jennifer (Adam) Rex, Ryan Watts, Logan Watts, Tyler Fossheim, Kayla (Jordan Kennedy) Dickerson, Kacey (Erin) Watts, Kody (Tiffany Wakeley) Watts, Kole Watts and Allison Goschke; great-grandchildren, Espn, Hudson, Charlotte, Knox, Kaiden, Connor and Ian; siblings, Gene (Cris) Watts, Dave (Sandy) Watts, Rita Sciocchetti, Keith (Vicki) Watts, Sally K. Watts and Cynthia "Cindy" Watts; numerous nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Denise Boles, Angela Mallet, Amanda Baker and Alysha Suttles; several great-nieces and nephews, including Jole Lay and Autumn Barrows; as well as many other family and friends.
Charlene was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cincinnati Reds fan, and she often enjoyed attending the games. She also loved playing BINGO and spending time with the BINGO family she grew close to. Kay was a member of the American Legion and she worshipped as a member of the Norval Park Church of Christ. In her free time, Kay would enjoy a trip to Amish Country with her sisters, or some time watching her favorite programs on T.V. such as Jeopardy or The Wheel of Fortune. Charlene also enjoyed a good 'people watching' session, wherever she might find interesting people to watch. She loved her Sunday afternoon drives where she would load into the car and find a beautiful road. Kay enjoyed traveling and seeing things she hadn't seen before. Above all else, Kay was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, aunt and much more. She extended kindness to all those she met and she will be missed by many. 
You may call on the family Wednesday, March 24, 2021  from 2 p.m.  until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services, 414 LaSalle St. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 11 a.m.,  at Norval Park Church of Christ, 845 Arch St., in Zanesville. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Minister Donnie Watts officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Kay's honor be made to the charity of your choosing. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
