Connie Sue Harris

Connie Sue Harris, 60, of Newark, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 22, 2026 at Genesis Hospital. Connie was born July 14, 1965 in Hillsboro, Ohio, daughter of the late Janice (Spreag) and Jay P. Books. In addition to her parents, Connie is also preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Connie leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 33 beautiful years, Doug Harris; her beloved children, Theresa Elliot, Spenser (Jennifer) Elliott and Cole Harris; adopted son, Dillon Maul; grandchildren, Lucas and Kyle; and a host of cousins, other family and friends. 

Connie dedicated many years of her life to a career in healthcare. She worked in many facets of the industry, from EMT to clerical assisting. Connie loved horseback riding and enjoyed taking hikes. She was a lover of butterflies and Longaberger baskets, leading her to be dubbed the 'Longaberger Girl'. Connie enjoyed gardening and was known to grow lovely flowers. She will be missed by her dear friends in her BINGO club, where she shared many laughs. Connie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed. 

Per Connie's wishes, no services will be observed at this time and cremation has been chosen. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
