Danny G. Grandstaff

Danny G. Grandstaff, 73, of Zanesville, entered the presence of Jesus on Thursday, August 27, 2020 following a lengthy illness. Danny was born January 8, 1947 to the late James G. and Virginia Belle Grandstaff. Danny was a 1965 graduate of Zanesville High School, and a 1982 graduate of the Ohio State College of Barber-Styling.
Danny leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Jane Brown; son, Rev. Cary (Angie) Grandstaff; daughter, Jessica Lee; brother, George (Debbie) Grandstaff; sisters, Shirley Lumbatis and Kathy Deshong; grandchildren, Jordan Lee, Devin Farmer, Jolynn Grandstaff, Brendon Preston, McKenzie Preston, and Logan Grandstaff; as well as many other extended family members and friends.
Danny was the owner and operator of Dan's Barber Styling which operated from 1983 until 2017. He was a long-time member of First Assembly of God Church, where he and his wife served as children's leaders for many years, preaching the Gospel to many children. Danny loved and faithfully supported Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge (BGMC), teaching children about missions. Additionally, he and his wife served as van drivers for many years.
Danny was also a lifelong member or the ARRL (American Radio Relay League), operating under the call sign KB8-RIM. He spent many years collecting and building model airplanes, he never met a stranger, and always looked to share Jesus with you. Danny loved his family, his friends and life itself. He dedicated 34 years of his life as a volunteer barber for Cedar Hill Care Center. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. 
You may call on the family Tuesday, September 1, 2020 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., at First Assembly of God Church, 503 McIntire Ave., in Zanesville. Reverend Cary Grandstaff officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
