Darryl Dwayne Groce

Darryl Dwayne Groce, 60, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away Friday, June 25, 2021 at his home. Darryl was born January 13, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Leon A. and Marilyn Jean (Smith) Groce, Sr. In addition to his beloved parents, Darryl is also preceded in death by his sister, Janet Clark; and brother, Leon A. Groce, Jr.
Darryl leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Diane Elaine (Green) Groce, whom he affectionately called "little sister"; his children, Darryl Smith, Reonita (Paul) Fogle, William (Carrie) Harris, Donese Harris, Andrea (Frank) Collins, and Christina Harris; a host of beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews, including special nephews, Duyanne Linville and Wendell Callahan; his siblings, Diane Groce, Sylvia Groce, Sherry McCollugh and Shelly Kendrick; his cherished pet, his dog Mitz; and a host of other family and friends.
Darryl was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. He enjoyed cheering for both the football and basketball teams. Darryl also loved music, he particularly enjoyed Jazz. He loved doting on his dog, Mitz. Darryl was a loving husband, father, brother and much more. He will be deeply missed by many.
You may call on the family Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services, 414 LaSalle St., in Zanesville. Per the family's wishes, cremation will follow. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
