Diane Marie (Powell) Biggs

Diane Marie (Powell) Biggs, 72, of Zanesville, Ohio passed away December 5, 2021. Diane was born December 9, 1948 to the late Robert Powell and Eileen Powell. In addition to her parents, Diane is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas H Biggs, Jr., whom she married in 1968 and lost on June 20, 2018; Sean Biggs, her eldest son, who passed away on same day as Diane; and sister Bobbi Knight. 

Diane is survived by her beloved sons, Robert Biggs, Joe Biggs, Jacob Biggs; a sister Carol P. Knight; and other relatives and friends.

Diane was a wife, mother, and grandmother who loved The Lord, her family and all animals. Her favorites being birds, horses, and dogs. Diane was a Godly, humble woman who served at the SDA church of Zanesville, Ohio. Diane was married 50 years to her high school sweetheart, Thomas Biggs, Jr. 

Diane sacrificed herself by being a caretaker for her sister, who suffered from MS, father-in-law, and later her mother for many years. Diane also helped with the raising of nephews and nieces when needing help and fostered numerous children. Diane was an example of serving others to her children, grandchildren, foster children and all who knew her that will lead them all of their lives. Diane will be greatly missed.

Per the family’s wishes, a direct burial with private family graveside services were held. Diane was laid to rest alongside her husband, in Newark Memorial Garden, in Newark, Ohio. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
