Donald Jay Kirkbride

Donald Jay Kirkbride, 74, of Zanesville, Ohio passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022 at his home with loved ones at his side. Don was born August 23, 1948 in Zanesville, son of the late Russell and Mary (Edwards) Kirkbride. In addition to his parents, Donald is also preceded in death by siblings Jimmy Kirkbride, Johnny Kirkbride, Kevin Kirkbride and Barb Vetula; his infant twin brother, Ronnie Kirkbride, who went to Heaven at only three months of age; as well as his beloved pet dog, Sophie. 
Don leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 57 years, Pamela J. (Barnett) Kirkbride; his four beloved daughters, Kimberly (Mark) Eucker, Christy Kirkbride, Stacy (Todd) Michaels and Shannon Norman; cherished grandchildren, Brittany (Michael), Tyce (Mihle), Nicholas, Chloe, Olivia, Madison and Lindsey; great grandchildren, Emma, Kynsley, Kai and one soon to join the family; siblings, Jeff (Dorothy) Kirkbride and Patty Goldsmith; several nieces and nephews; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and a host of other family and friends.
Donald dedicated many years of employment to Rockwell International in Newark, Ohio before taking his retirement. In his free time, Don enjoyed being outdoors fishing, or enjoying a round of golf. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by those who loved him. 
Per the family's wishes, cremation has been chosen. A memorial gathering will be held Friday, November 18, 2022 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services. A repass meal will follow at 3:30 p.m., at the Celebration Banquet Room, 730 Putnam Ave., in Zanesville. Feel free to bring your favorite covered dish. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those so inclined send planters that Pamela can maintain in Don's memory.  BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
