Gene Henderson

Gene (St. Clair) Henderson, 88, of Zanesville, Ohio entered eternal rest Thursday, December 24, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Gene was born March 4, 1932 to the late Thomas and Georgia Henderson. In addition to his parents, Gene is also preceded in death by a son, Michael Henderson; Verna Mullins; and a granddaughter, Samantha Neff.
Gene leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Sondra Henderson, of 46 years; children, Gene (Stephanie Prunty) Chandler, Ethan (Jennifer Howard) Lynum, Joshua (Jessica) Henderson,  Antonietta (Nathaniel) Edwards, Gary (Janet) Joseph, Kimberly (Tim) York;  grandchildren, Gabriella, Shawnisha, Shayla, Bryan, Andrew, Britney, Justin, Zack , Dorian, Hawke, Pavin, Chanel, Lamiah, Josiah, and David; special caregiver, Lauralie Fritz; and a host of other family members and friends.  
Gene was a United States Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He also dedicated 30 years of service to General Construction, as well as 5 years of service to the Longaberger Company. Gene loved to spend time outside with his music and planting. He had a passion for card-playing and often enjoyed talking with friends and family over a game of cards. He will be deeply missed.
You may call on the family Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Burrell Funeral Services. Graveside burial will follow the visitation in Woodlawn Cemetery. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
