Horace Airforce "Jimmy" Pittman, III, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021, at 10:52 a.m., at Genesis Hospice. On February 7, 1956, Horace “Jimmy” Airforace Pittman III, was born to the late Horace Airforace Jr. and Minne Beatrice Little. He is preceded in death by his father, Horace Airforace Pittman, Jr.; stepfather, George Lee; and grandparents, Luvina and Horace Pittman Sr., and Lilly-Mae and William Little.
Jimmy leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife, Magdalene Pittman of Zanesville, OH; seven children, Marcus Hyman of Orlando, FL, Apryl Pittman, Helen Anderson (Rudolph), Kimberly Pittman Teague (Melvin) of Atlanta, GA, Daniel Pittman, James Fowler, and Dee-Dee Fowler of Zanesville, OH; his loving mother, Minnie Futrell of Scotland Neck, NC; siblings, Bobby Pittman (Lindsey), Sharon Wiggins, Calvin Pittman (Vickie), Jerry Pittman, Timothy Pittman, and Lamont Pittman (Jackie); a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other loving relatives and many caring friends.
Jimmy graduated in 1974 from Brawley High School of Scotland Neck in North Carolina. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Zanesville, OH. As a young adult, Jimmy began his career with Sara Lee/T&T Services in 1973 and gradually became a warehouse supervisor in 1976. Jimmy was a devoted father who enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends playing dominos, spades, checkers, etc. Giving up was not an option which showed his determination to keep his family moving forward. He deeply cared for all of those that surrounded him and always attempted to guide them in the right direction. Jimmy was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steeler’s fan and enjoyed listening to Reggae. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

You may call on the family Friday, November 26, 2021 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 12 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services, in Zanesville. Cremation will follow. Pastor Keith Wyatt officiating. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
