Hortense (Weatherspoon) Jones

Hortense Jones, 96, went to be with The Lord, Saturday, February 27, 2021. Hortense was born December 26, 1924 to the late Henry and Flavia (Pendleton) Weatherspoon. In addition to her parents, Hortense is also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Jones, Sr.; and her sons, James Jones and Kevin Jones.
Hortense leaves to remember her wisdom, her loving children, Paul (Sandy) Jones, Lisa Ayers, Eric Jones, and Brett Jones; grandchildren, Monica, Paul, Ted (Rachel), Aaron, Stephanie, James, Casey, Carletta, Christopher (Liz), Shari, Jamaica, Bryson and Keeta; several great and great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Hortense will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. You may call on the family Friday, March 5, 2021 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services in Zanesville. Reverend Clifton Kilpatrick officiating. Mrs. Jones will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery aside her husband. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
