Jeffrey Rubin Hocker, Sr.

Jeffrey Rubin Hocker, Sr., 64, of Zanesville, Ohio passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021 at his home. Jeffrey was born November 5, 1956 to the late Frank and Helen (Turner) Hocker, Jr. In addition to his parents, Jeffrey is also preceded in death by his brothers, James Workman and Frankie Hocker.
Jeffrey leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 39 years, Ruth E. Hocker; his beloved children, Jeffrey Hocker, Jr., of Zanesville, Ohio and Mercedes Hocker, of Powhatan Point, Ohio; cherished grandson, Isaiah Hocker; special friends, Marcus Hill and Mark Norris; as well as other family members and friends.
Jeffrey worked many years in the coal mining industry. In his free-time, Jeffrey enjoyed being by the water, fishing. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, cheering on both the Steelers as well as the Pirates. He will be missed.
The family will receive guests Friday, June 4, 2021 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services, 414 LaSalle St., in Zanesville. Per the family's wishes, cremation will follow. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
