John "Rick" Richard Goins

John Richard "Rick" Goins, 70, of Zanesville, Ohio passed away Monday, March 1, 2021. John was born March 5, 1950 to the late John and Patty (Gibson) Goins, Jr. In addition to his parents, Rick is also preceded in death by a sister, Michelle Goins; significant other and partner of many years, Priscilla Edwards; and step-daughter, Staci Burrell.
Rick leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Jason Lancaster, Ricky Lancaster and Melinda Shaw; grandson, Reese; siblings, Connie (Terry) Butcher, Roger Goins and Mark Dalton; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Rick was an avid fisherman, often enjoying fishing trips. In the past, he had been known to enjoy a game of pool. Rick also enjoyed riding bikes, especially in his youth. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed. 
You may call on the family Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services. Per the family's wishes, cremation will follow. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
