Kenneth "Mike" Michael Burtnett, 59, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Genesis Hospital. Kenneth was born May 4, 1963 in Zanesville, son of the late Agnes L. (Scott) Willey and Harold L. Burtnett. In addition to his parents, Agnes (Ralph) Willey and Harold Burtnett, Kenneth is also preceded in death by beloved daughter, Cassandra Burtnett; brothers, Dwaine Burtnett, Kenny Willey and Tommy Burtnett; grandchildren, Bryson, Leanna and Chevelle; mother-in-law, Bessie Jean (Virgil) Bonifant; and brother-in-law, Michael Thomas.
Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Debra Burtnett; beloved children, Amber (Ricky) Dotson, Melissa (Kyle) Boykin, Billy (Connie) Pickrell, Kile (Mikhaila) Bailey and Brittany Burtnett; cherished grandchildren, Logan, Khloie, Cameron, Addison, Dylan, Noah, Skyler, Caesyn, Jase, Jayceona, Karlee, Gianna, Jurnie, Kira, Emerson, Brandon and Kolton; siblings, Jim (Deb) Burtnett, Pete (Vickie) Burtnett, Larry (Lynn) Burtnett, Mary Smith, Carolyn (Ray) Wickham, Steve Willey, Tim (Margaret) Willey, Howie Burtnett, George Burtnett, David (Shirley) Burtnett, Trina Burtnett and Linda (Pat) Mathes; father-in-law, Roger Thomas; sister-in-law, Linda; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Mike dedicated several years of employment to the Lear Corporation. Following his career, Kenneth filled his time with outdoor activities and caring for his wife. He loved to spend time hunting and fishing. Mike was also an avid gardener. He was known for his goofing around, and he loved to make people laugh and smile. More than anything, Mike enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.
You may call on the family Friday, November 11, 2022 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 12 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
