Lawrence Nicholas Rota

Lawrence Nicholas Rota, 75 of Zanesville Ohio passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, February 21, 2025. Lawrence was born on January 29, 1950, in Philadelphia PA. 

Lawrence was a graduate of Camden Catholic High School. He served his county as a veteran of the US Army serving two tours in Vietnam. 

He enjoyed spending time with his family watching Sci Fi, rooting on the Philadelphia Eagles, camping and spoiling his grandkids and great grandkids. 

Lawrence is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bernice Rota; two daughters, Angela (Bill) Edgell and Dawn (Jack) Smith; one son, Larry (Kim) Rota; grandkids, Josh (Kate) Edgell, Kati Edgell, Corey (Ashanti) Smith, Nick (Shayla) Smith, Zoe Smith, Faith Rota, Wyatt Rota, Mia Edgell and Maci Edgell; great grandkids, Alaina, Ansley, Brycen, Addy, Paisley, Maverick, Ryker, Asher and Chase; siblings, Connie (Sal) Rota, Tony (Ilene) Rota, Barb Wheeler, Theresa Resino, Mary Walsh, Robert Walsh and Dan Walsh; cousins, Anthoney, Frankie, Sal, Ritchie Rota, Adele Huffman; special nieces, Chastity Griffith and Kristi Childress; special friends, Dale (Carol) Banks; his furry best friend, Della; as well as several other friend and family.

In addition to his parents, Frances Lattiere (Betty Bartley) and his father, Anthony Rota, Lawrence was preceded in death by his brothers, Sal Rota, Eddie Wheeler; sister-in-law, Darlene Rota and his great grandson, Asher Smith.

You may call on the family on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with funeral services starting at 1 p.m. at Burrell Funeral Services in Zanesville. Military honors will take place before funeral services. Cremation will follow. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
