Leonard "Leaper" Eugene Norris

Leonard “Leaper” Eugene Norris, 70, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026. He was born on July 14, 1955.

Leonard was a man who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially playing BINGO and spending time doing slots. He cherished his family and friendships and will be remembered for the memories he shared with those who loved him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Hulda Norris; his children, Josh (Jordana) Norris and Jason Tate; his grandchildren, Etai, Aya, Rian, Destiny (Derek), Jason and Jeremiah Pletcher, and Jai’Shaun; his stepchildren, Misty White, Wendy White, and Nicole McCormick; sisters-in-law, Bertha, Diane, Lena, Margaret, and Lisa; brothers-in-law, Richard and Lawrence; special friends, Bob Hayhurst, Terry Barnett, and Zechariah Bauer; along with several other loving friends and family members.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth Norris; his brother, Robert J. Norris Jr.; and several aunts and uncles.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Church of God Saints of Christ in Zanesville. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
