Leslie Dalton Kelly

Leslie Dalton Kelly, 67, of Zanesville, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020. Les was born March 4, 1953 to the late Charles and Margaret (Frances) Kelly. In addition to his parents, Les is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tena Kelly; and his brother, Wesley. 
Leslie leaves to cherish his memory, his dedicated and loving daughter, Melissa (Daryl Clark, Jr.) Kelly-Wells; a nephew, whom he had the pleasure of helping to raise, Jason Kelly; grandchildren, Nicholas Clark, Kathleen Kelly, Pamela Kelly-Wells and Ryanne Clark; siblings, Charlotte Hill, Flora Mae Kelly, Priscilla Robinson, Shirley Darling, Donald Kelly, Charles Kelly and Butch; several nieces and nephews; several cousins; many friends, including special friends Emery Myers, Eddie Carter and Costella Haley; his co-workers with the City of Zanesville Cemetery Workers; and a host of many other friends and family. 
Les was a dedicated member of St. Paul A.M.E. church of Zanesville. Over his life, Les dedicated years of service to United Technology and his job as a truck driver, before taking employment with Zanesville City. Leslie was musical, a self-taught drummer. He was a father figure to many who knew him, especially his nieces and nephews whom he enjoyed as his own children. Les will be deeply missed. 
You may call on the family Friday, August 28, 2020 from 12:30 p.m. until 1 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services. Reverend Clifton Kilpatrick officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Per CDC recommendation, all guests will be asked to wear a self-provided face covering.  BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
