Louis “Louie” F. Joseph, Jr., passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021 at his home. Louie was born January 6, 1955 in Zanesville, to the late Louis Joseph, Sr. and Phyllis (McDonald) Stevens. In addition to his parents, Louie is also preceded in death by a grandson, Briar Joseph George; grandmother, Eleanor McDonald; sister, Eleanor Kerby; brothers, Rusty Joseph and John David Joseph; and a nephew, Jarrett Head.
Louis leaves to cherish his memory, his dedicated significant other, Deborah "Debbie" House; his sons, Mike (Joellen) Joseph and Bobby (Kim) Joseph; daughters, Macehlle Joseph, Tara (Andy) Matthews, Jamie McGee, Elisha McGilton, Amber (Jessica) McGilton and Melissa (Tim) Bradley Stewart; grandchildren, Nautica Joseph, Tyler Joseph, Marcus and Matt King, Jacob Sontag, Loren McGee, Kyree Somers, Daniel McGilton, Bently, Taylan Brearly and Timmy Stewart; sisters, Peg (Jack) Kinder, Coleen May and Vickie (Eric) Paul; brother, Kevin (Nancy) Turner; a huge gang of fun-loving nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Dave Carter and Roger Seevers; and a host of other family and friends.
Louie was a United States Veteran, having served in the Marines Corp. He went on to dedicate many years to Zanesville City Schools as part of their custodial staff before retiring. In his free time, Louie enjoyed watching NASCAR and rooting for his favorite team, The Cleveland Browns. He will be missed.
Per Louie’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. A memorial gathering in Louie's honor will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m., at the American Legion, 27 S. 3rd St., in Zanesville. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
