Malakai Curry Obituary

Malakai Devon Curry, 20, of Caldwell, Ohio, formerly of Zanesville, entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 30, 2021. Malakai was born October 3, 2001 to his loving mother Tonya Moore. Malakai is preceded in death by his grandma and grandpa Moore; Grandma Debbie Weatherspoon; Great Grandpa Gabriel Weatherspoon, Sr.; Great grandma and grandpa Goldie and Bernard Moore

Malakai leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother Tonya (Ra'Tina Phillips) Moore; his siblings, Tyrone Curry, Jr. and Keyisha Curry; cousins, Kayla Moore, Shaun Moore, Qwashawn Moore, Neveah Moore, Gabriel Weatherspoon IV, Susie Weatherspoon, Asher Weatherspoon, Nathaniel Weatherspoon and Kylee Wiseman; aunts and uncles, Daniella Moore, Gabriel Weatherspoon III and Matthew (Tiffany) Weatherspoon; grandpa, Gabriel Weatherspoon II; and a host of other family, and many, many friends.

Malakai was a 2020 graduate of Zanesville High School where he was a Zanesville Blue Devil Football Player, #22. He was truly one of a kind. Malakai was an amazing soul. He was kind, sweet, helpful and intelligent. Malakai's smile was contagious and he brightened the day of anyone he met. His hugs were so comfortable that you would find yourself melting into him. Malakai always had a positive vibe and positive words of advice. He was such a funny guy, he loved joking and pulling pranks. One thing that can surely be said of Malakai was that he was one big, handsome man. He cherished his mom, and she cherished all the random kisses and hugs that he would give to her. Malakai was very close to his brother, his sister, other family, his many friends and his whole community. His presence will be felt, though he will be greatly missed.
