Mark Joseph Mallett, 65, of Zanesville, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022. Mark was born August 10, 1956 to the late Everett F. and Sylvia V. (Goodall) Mallett. In addition to his parents, Mark is also preceded in death by his beloved son, Scott Mallett.
Mark leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Phillis R. (Somers) Mallett; children, Chad Mallett and Daniel (Candy) Mallett; grandchildren, Mazie and Abriana Mallett; siblings, Sandy Honeywell, Larry (Sherry) Mallett, Anne (Larry) Robson, Susan Mallett, Luke (Missy) Mallett and Mary (Wayne) Johnson; several nieces and nephews; cherished dogs, Bonnie and Clyde, as well as Lexi who crossed the rainbow bridge following Mark's passing; as well as a host of other family and many friends.
Mark worked as a machinist for many years. He was a jack of all trades who also worked as a farmer and welder. Mark had special love for farming. In his free time he enjoyed being outdoors, in activities such as fishing and hunting. Phillis and Mark often took weekend trips to Lake Erie where he would aim to catch fish, and Phillis would aim to feed them. Mark loved doting on his beloved dogs. He always enjoyed causing a ruckus with his friends. Mark will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
You may call on the family Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services, in Zanesville. Father Martin Ralko officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery where Mark will be laid to rest alongside his mother and father. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
