Marvin Alton Gill Sr.

Marvin Alton Gill, Sr., age 84, passed away May 5, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born in Rochester, NY on July 13, 1939. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Dewey Gill and Muriel Adell Gill (Jackson), and brother Kenneth Gill.

He is survived by his wife and companion, Lucy (Lue) Gill; children Mary Presley, Marvin Gill, Jr (Deborah) and Becky (James) Sheline; his grandchildren, Garry Presley, Cody Presley, James Sheline Jr., and Rebekah Sheline. Also surviving are his brothers, Clayton Gill, Leo Gill, Bruce (Pamela) Gill, David Gill, and sister Muriel Lowery; and many nieces and nephews.

Marvin was an avid gardener and loved all animals, especially cats. He drove a lumber truck for 30 years. He leaves a legacy of honesty, love, and generosity to his children and all who knew him.

You may call on the family at Burrell Funeral Services on May 8, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. with funeral services starting at 12 p.m. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to an animal rescue of your choice.
