Nancy Lee Smith

Nancy L. Smith, 70, of  St. Mary's West Virginia formerly of Zanesville, Ohio passed away peacefully after a long illness on June 30, 2019. Nancy was born on May 16th, 1949  to the late Marjorie and Charles Woodford. In addition to her parents, Nancy is also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years,  David E. Smith, whom passed away on March 16th, 2019. 
She is survived by one daughter Shelly J. Smith;  two granddaughters Brittnay and Kylee Buzzard; a great grand son, Khailyer, all of  St. Mary's West Virginia; three sisters-in-law, Linda ( Tom ) Wheeler, Margaret ( Everett) Guthrie, Barbara ( Robert ) Norris; three brothers-in-law Jack ( Irma ) Smith, Michael ( Myra) Smith, Robert ( Terri ) Smith.
Nancy was a dedicated employee of National Cash Register (NCR) in Cambridge, Ohio for 24 years. She was a member of the Zanesville, Ohio Trinity Lutheran Church prior to moving to West Virginia. She enjoyed playing bingo for many years prior to her illness. Nancy was a loving mother and grand mother who enjoyed caring  for her family and pets, especially  her pet parrot, George, of 37 years. Nancy will be remembered for her gentle smile and kind heart.
You may call on the family Monday, July 8, 2019 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
