Otto Henry Cass

Otto H. Cass, 83, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023 at Altercare of Zanesville. Otto was born September 13, 1939, in Cripple Creek, Colorado, son of the late Dagmar Young.

Otto is survived by his fiancé, Kathy Shumate; son, Bryan Cass, of California; daughter, Tamma Cass, of California; several grandchildren; a brother, Ralph, of Michigan; a sister, Judy, of California; and a host of other loved ones. 

Otto was a United States Veteran who had served in the Navy during the Vietnam conflict. He went on to obtain a degree in culinary arts and worked for many years as a chef. Otto was a member of the American Legion Post 29 as well as the DAV. He is sure to be missed by all who knew him. You may call on the family Friday, April 14, 2023 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m., services to follow at 1 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services. Per Otto's wishes, cremation will follow.
