P. Eleanor (Moore) Dennis

P. Eleanor Dennis, 79, of Zanesville, gained her heavenly reward on Sunday, April 28, 2019. Eleanor was born December 25, 1939 to the late Earl and Bertha Moore. In addition to her parents, Eleanor is also preceded in death by a brother, John Moore; step-mother, Mary Moore; brothers-in-law, Lynn Dennis and Charles; and sister-in-law Mary Jane.
Eleanor leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband, Larry L. Dennis; her children, Barbara (Kenny) Chevalier, Brenda (Tom) Greiner, and Brian (Janet) Dennis; grandchildren, Heather (Greg) Shafer, Donny (Giavonna) Hicks, Kenny Chevalier, Jr., Danielle (Adam) Evanshine, and Brian Michael (Jamie) Dennis; great grandchildren, Laken, Landen, Lauren, Alex, Nathan, Katie and Ace; a sister, Pat Wyatt, of Florida; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Dennis; special friends, Mary Thomas and Jim Strouse; several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Eleanor worked for many years as a school bus driver for West Muskingum School District and driver's education instructor. She was passionate about her role in caring for the children and she enjoyed her job. Eleanor was known to have a primary job, as well as a side job.  She  worked for the Old Military Lanes Bowling Alley for several years. In her younger years, Eleanor was an amazing roller skater, and spent much of her time at the Lind Arena Skate Center. She loved animals, especially her beloved pets Rusty and Jersey Girl. Eleanor was a member of the Norval Park Church of Christ, and a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed. 
Per Eleanor's wishes, cremation has been chosen. A memorial service will be held in her honor on Sunday, May 5, 2019 beginning at 3 p.m., at Norval Park Church of Christ, 845 Arch St. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to The Muskingum County Animal Shelter, Genesis Hospice, or the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
