Robert Eugene Wilson

Robert "Whiney" Eugene Wilson, 79, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022 at Genesis Hospital. Robert was born August 5, 1942, in Zanesville. In addition to his parents, Robert is also preceded in death by a brother; a sister; and three grandchildren. 
Robert leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Marie A. (Echelberry) Wilson; beloved children, Brian (Laura) Wilson and Ronda (Justin) Durst; grandchildren, Aaron, Trinity, Trustin and Tristan; three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters; best friend, Randy Hoops; and a host of other family and friends. 
Robert was a United States Veteran, having served in the Marine Corps. He went on to dedicate 43 years of employment to Armco Steel. Whiney was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, the Moose Lodge and the Elks. In his free time, Robert enjoyed being outdoors in activities such as hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed his pull tickets. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Per the family's wishes, cremation has been chosen. A memorial visitation in Robert's honor will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Burrell Funeral Services in Zanesville. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
