Rosalie Willene Coss

Rosalie Willene Coss, 95, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Rosalie was born on January 6, 1929, to Cars and Myra Anderson. In addition to her parents, Rosalie is preceded in death by her loving husband who she married on May 20, 1950, Ray J. Coss; son, Duane Coss and daughter, Diana Coss Warne Hall; brother-in-law, Fred Woodyard.

Rosalie leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Debbie (Michael) Pace; grandchildren, Leslie (Keff) Edwards, Catherine Jones (Jason), Jessica (Shane) Hennessy, Byron Warne, Kara (Jerry) Ellis and Kaitlyn (Josh) Farmer; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Woodyard; brother, Willis (Betty) Anderson; as well as many other friends and family.

Rosalie was a longtime volunteer for Bethesda Hospital for over 20 years. She was baptized at the age of 14 years old at Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ in Monroe County. Rosalie was a member of Woodlawn Church of Christ for 55 years and most recently a member of Norval Park Church of Christ. Her dedication to her faith was one that could only be admired. She was a true Christian and a faithful member to every congregation of which she was a member. You could often find Rosalie spending her free time reading. She was a 1949 graduate from Graysville High School, where she was valedictorian. Rosalie will be deeply missed by all that knew her. 

You may call on the family on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with funeral services starting at 1 p.m. at Burrell Funeral Services, 414 LaSalle St. Zanesville, Ohio, 43701. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
